I don't like to box myself into any particular genre
I've done Afro pop, RnB and my next song is Grime
Basically I'm an all round Artiste

How did the stage name come about?
Nakel is Lekan backwards and tbg means the badass g

What’s your most embarrassing moment as an artiste?
Everyone else was walking away and others were either just
looking at me or using their phones

When was your first performance?
My first ever performance was in my high school. I was singing and only people in my set were
responding
Most people complain about 90% Nigerian music sounding
alike? What’s your take on that?
Most Nigerian artistes copy or imitate someone else's style
of music, but there are still those who are original...
It's the fault of the fans to be honest
They really put pressure on artistes

complete track?
I get inspiration from different things
Ranging from my state of mind to life experiences
Sometimes I get ideas from a movie
Apart from music what else do you love doing?
I write poems once in a while
Whats the most difficult challenge as an upcoming act?
Funding has always been a challenge
How do you balance your music with other obligations? Like
relationship and family
It's really hard to be honest. Balancing music with school ,
family and friends is stressful but I try my best to keep up

Nigerian artiste would be burnaboy
Which foreign artiste would you like to work with?
Foreign artiste would be stormzy
What memorable responses have you had to your music?
I'm yet so see more memorable responses but so far my most
memorable response was when I was performing ,and even people I didn't know
were singing my song lyrics word for word. I was really happy
Name three artists you’d like to be compared to?
Honestly I don't want to be compared to anyone. I have
noticed that comparison causes problems between artistes in the industry. Take
Wizkid and Davido for example
Where do you
see yourself in 5 years?
Hopefully among the A-list artistes in Nigeria
What project are you working on now?
I'm working on a grime song for the summer
