Alade Blessing Ademuyiwa

What type of music do you make?
Rap, afro pop hip-hop

What’s your stage name?
king_dc

How did the stage name come about?
It means king dream chaser and I adopted it from the street hustings and meek mill album DC

What’s your background?
I'm from a family of 4, I attended Ayepe nursery and primary school Iwo Road, Ibadan and I graduated from st Michel grammar school Apata Owode Estate Ibadan, I lost my dad when I was 5 years old and since then my brothers and my mother have been living on hustle
  
When and why did you start making music?
I started music when I was in jss3 with some friends and we named the band plantation bioz I use to rap back then and that's what i got used to, I was in love with music and rap because I can express myself through my music than when am talking face to face but I started music professional in 2016
  
Do you play any instruments? If yes which instruments do you play?
No

Which famous musician(s) do you admire? Why?
Young MA cause she always melts my mind with her rap flows and bars, she is hot
Olamide is my favorite rapper in the game, he's got it all, how to stay focus, how to twist the song, all in him, phyno, Jay,z Chris brown meek mill

Were you influenced by any old records & tapes? Which ones?
Yes, Tupac changes, Olamide legendry hustler ayinla omo wura ebi ki pa gun dojo ale

What’s your most embarrassing moment as an artiste?
When I was called on the stage to perform but the dj didn't have my song i had to freestyle for good 20 minutes

When was your first performance? How did it feel?
My first performance was at the Swaap Awards 2017 at lead City University, Adeline Hall, I was on top of the world

How do you handle mistakes during a performance?
I just try to be myself

Do you get nervous before a performance?
yes oo, but am getting used to it

What advice would you give to beginners who are nervous?
I will tell them to just stay on script and stay focused all is gonna be well

Most people complain about 90% Nigerian music sounding alike? What’s your take on that?
We all have to twist with what it in vogue but I always make sure I stand out with my twist

How do you balance your music with other obligations? Like relationship and family
It has not been easy for me but everybody around me understands me very well and they always support my movements

How is your personality reflected in your work?
My words are real I always put my kind of person inside my work

What does “being creative” mean to you?
being creative to me means to stand out of all, think out of the box

How do you overcome creative blocks?
I work hard when am writing my content when am recording and when am delivering my jobs to my fans

What are you trying to communicate with your art?
Positive vibes quality content
  
What’s the best advice you ever had about how to be more creative?
My CEO once told me being great is by staying focused

Olamide, Phyno, Wiz kid, Davido, Boj, Oritse femi and many more

Young MA, Chris brown, Meek mill Jay z

What would people be surprised to learn about you?
I am a beautician I do make up and hair

Why Music?
I have the right to express things people need to know and understand with music I can make people feel alive

What memorable responses have you had to your music?
I was warming up for a performance and the dj was playing my song already this two guys where just coming in and one of then was like when did meek mill release a new track I was like for real so when I was done performing those guys came to and was like bro you're not from this world

What food, drink, song inspires you?
food I love all food ,Drinks I don't know men
Song I love it when young MA is on the Playlist

What do you dislike about the music industry?
The gods at the top don't want to help the small kings and it is so painful
  
What is your dream project?
My dream project is to take my music to every corner of this world

Topping every chart, singles and album

If you could advice upcoming artistes, what would you say?
keep it real ,keep it 100 and stay focused


Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In the next 5 years am seeing myself as the number 1 in the world
